Boulder, Colo. (PRWEB) December 1, 2010

InDevR recently appointed Amy Whittier as its director of sales and marketing and Michael Minard as its director of business development.

“Amy’s international marketing experience in the medical device and diagnostic industries will help InDevR meet growing demand for our products and services,” Kathy L. Rowlen, PhD, InDevR’s CEO and chief science officer said. “Amy’s previous work with Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. and Corgenix Medical Corporation will be of great benefit to InDevR as we expand globally.”

Minard previously worked as an executive at General Electric, Lockheed Martin and IBM where he led sales, operations and marketing efforts that resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars in new revenues launching a half dozen new lines of business. “Michael’s 20-plus years of commercialization background in the technology industry will help InDevR expand and grow our sales efforts exponentially while adding great depth and experience to our operations,” Rowlen said.

Privately held InDevR is developing breakthrough scientific instruments and assays for the detection, quantification and analyses of viruses. For example, the company’s ViroCytTM 2100 Virus Counter® is the only flow cytometer on the market capable of routine virus quantification. “InDevR is already playing a significant role in the accelerated activity to develop new vaccines and antiviral therapeutics for both emerging and well known pathogens,” Rowlen said.

Under Rowlen’s direction, Whittier and Minard will help bring to market InDevR’s growing suite of products and services.

“I’m excited to be part of such a growing and dynamic company,” Whittier said. “Developing and implementing the overall commercial vision of InDevR will have tremendous life-saving impact as our products are fully integrated into public health, research and pharmaceutical labs the world over.”

Whittier holds a Master of Science from the University of Nebraska in Immunology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Minnesota’s St. Olaf College.

“Kathy’s leadership and InDevR’s worldwide market potential within the scientific and public health communities are what attracted me to joining the company,” Minard said. “The opportunity to improve the health status of the world’s community through InDevR’s proprietary technologies is a challenge I welcome.”

Minard serves on the boards of the Boulder Circle of Care and the GO3 Foundation as well as a consultant for the Boulder Small Business Development Center where he was named the Colorado Consultant of the Year.
